Here’s the Android: Android's built-in digital wellness suite offers flexible, native blocking features. Option A: Digital Wellbeing Bedtime Mode This is Google's native system for shifting your phone into a resting state. How to set it up: Open Settings > Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls > Bedtime Mode. Enforce the lock: Set your bedtime hours. You can trigger it by time or automatically when you plug your phone in to charge after a certain hour. Visual cues: Turn on Grayscale and Dark Theme. Turning the screen black-and-white strips away the psychological reward of colorful app feeds, making your phone instantly boring to look at. Option B: Focus Mode Schedules If you do not want to change your entire screen to grayscale but want specific apps completely blocked, use Focus Mode. How to set it up: Open Settings > Digital Wellbeing > Focus Mode. Select the targets: Check the boxes next to your most distracting apps (social media, games, news). Automate it: Tap Set a Schedule to turn Focus Mode on automatically during your evening wind-down hours. While active, you cannot open those apps, and their notifications are paused
