In Buddhism, we say "where I am is the Buddha land". Especially if you are in a difficult place, your karmic connection to that place will not cease until your purpose is fulfilled there. So focus on fulfilling your purpose wherever you are if migrating is not an option. The universe is blocking you for a reason. In Buddhism, we also say that the lotus blooms in mud, so if you are in a swampy environment, that is where your highest growth lies!
