Give someone a gift
Practice your compassion and gratitude
Indigenous & Shamanism
Honor nature, the universe, and cycles of time with sacred ceremonies, numbers, and symbols that reveal hidden wisdom.
In Mayan tradition, it was common to give gifts to other people as an expression of compassion and community, and to give gifts to nature or ancestors as an expression of gratitude to the divine.
Gift-giving can also become a more regular part of your own spiritual practice. Remember: a gift doesn't have to be something grand - it can be something small, like a cup of coffee. Finding opportunities to give small gifts to those you care about can strengthen your relationship with them and help you practice compassion.
Check Sol's "Relationship Tips" feature for ideas on gifts for people you care about based on their own unique personalities.
